We all have needs. And those needs are constantly changing. Sometimes we need solitude, other times companionship. Sometimes we need activity and entertaining events, other times our soul yearns for peace and quiet. Sometimes we need food, exercise, sleep, etc... and sometimes we don't.
This is why paying attention -- to our body, to our thoughts, to our emotions -- is essential for our happiness and well-being. Our body and soul know exactly what we need, and when we need it.
Since we are the only one residing inside our being, we are the only ones that can tune in to what is required. Others can offer advice and share insights, but we are the final authority on ourselves. The path to overall health and happiness lies in paying attention not just to external messages, but to internal ones as well.
