The focus for today is: I am willing to let go of all addictions.
We typically think of addictions as relating to food, drugs and alcohol. However, addictions are in many aspects of our behavior. We can be addicted to exercise, sexual habits, work habits, risk-taking, money, negative attitude, security, fear patterns and reactions, etc. These are behavioral patterns that often have their roots in our childhood, and in things we felt were missing or lacking in our life.
We use our addictions to try to fill a need or a hole in our past and present. However, our addictions also take us "offline" from our connection to our Higher Self and to our future and life purpose. They tie us to our past, to our low self-esteem, and lack of confidence in ourselves and in the world around us.
Choosing to let go of all of our addictions, whether physical or emotional, is an empowering step into creating a future that doesn't need the crutch of addiction to provide happiness and direction.
